Conan Exiles may have gotten off to a rough start thanks to its buggy servers, DRM issues and a few other small issues, but given the game is in early access, most of that is easily forgivable or to be improved over time. Now however, it seems the game has taken one of its strongest steps to date, as Funcom revealed that the game will have proper mod support courtesy of the Conan Exiles Dev Kit.
Funcom CEO Rui Casais said “this is just the start of the Early Access adventure and we will do whatever it takes to make sure Conan Exiles turns into a fully-fledged game that has something to offer new and old fans of both Conan and survival games.”
With over 320,000 shipped already, the game is growing fast, and the addition of a dev kit for modders should cement the game’s popularity with the PC community, allowing the creation of unique content and experiences. Of course, all this will be made available through Steam Workshop, so if you’re not a skilled modder, you’ll have a portal to download and enjoy created content with ease anyway.
