Fusion Garage Grid10 Tablet

Yes another day another tablet PC in the offering, following Fusion garage’s failed previous release of the JooJoo which disappeared from the market quite rapidly they’ve come back with the new Grid10 tablet with its own “built from the ground up” operating system GridOS boasting a highly stable and secure platform which also incorporates Android apps without the need for redevelopment or recoding.

The tablet has appeared on Amazon.com for pre-order but at a price point of $499 and $599 with 3G for the 16gb model you have to ask is it a real contender for the Apple crown, does it offer anything else for the same price as an ipad but from a relatively obscure brand.

The tablets are due to ship on the 15th of September, the device comes with a comprehensive list of apps included that most have come to expect with any device these days with media players, video calling, maps, calendar and contacts, one of the more interesting feature is something they’ve called seamless state:

Seamless State lets you move stay in sync with your content while moving from one Grid device to another or from your Grid10 to your desktop. Continue from exactly where you left off on the previous devices.

Say you’re watching a movie on your home PC or Mac with Grid Desktop. Hit pause and leave to catch the train. Take out your Grid10, hit play and begin watching the same movie from where you left off at home. Just like that.

With the constant release of more competitively priced devices hitting the market it remains to be seen if Fusion Garage will have a hit on their hands
