Futuremark’s Powermark test gets some key updates

Powermark is a battery life and power consumption benchmark for Windows 7 notebooks, laptops, tablets and other battery powered devices. Designed for professional testing labs, it delivers accurate results based on realistic productivity and entertainment scenarios. Futuremark has recently introduced some key updates for the benchmark.

What’s new in Powermark 1.1.1

  • Fixed wrap-around bug in DX9 and video playback workload run time settings.
  • Fixed IE8 compatibility issues in web browser workload.
  • Fixed documentation links.
  • Fixed potential crash at startup.
  • Improved the output of the –view command line argument.
  • Removed –loop and –repeat command line arguments.
  • Removed unused platform options.
  • Display “Word processing result” in GUI instead of “score”.
  • Individual workloads are sorted chronologically in GUI view.
  • Adjusted video playback window size to make black borders smaller.
  • Switched web browser workload port from 8080 to 51392 to avoid port conflicts.
