No other company dominates the memory overclocking scene more than G.SKILL these days. Naturally, they are also pushing the envelope on what is possible on Intel’s new X299 HEDT platform. With the official launch of the Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X CPUs, G.SKILL is also introducing DDR4 kits that provide significantly faster performance than others. These memory kits are built with high clocks in mind, utilizing Samsung 8Gb ICs and flying under the Trident Z family banner.
Dual-channel DDR4-4400 CL19 8GBx2 kit for Intel Kaby Lake-X
G.SKILL now offers dual-channel Trident Z RGB and Trident Z Black kits in speeds up to 4400MHz. These are 16GB kits (8GBx2) with CL19 timings programmed in their XMP profile. This means users can just recall the setting quickly without having to customize out of the box. In the case of the Trident Z RGB, users no longer have to choose between performance and aesthetics, since they can get both in the same package.
Quad-channel DDR4-4200 CL19 8GBx8 kits for Intel Skylake-X
Although G.SKILL’s quad-channel kits are not rated as high as 4400MHz, they still run up to a respectable 4200MHz. This includes new CL19 64GB (8GBx8) DDR4 kits specifically tuned for the latest Intel Core i9 processors. In case you need proof, G.SKILL provided a screenshot of a memtest run using this DDR4-4200MHz kit on an ASUS Prime X299-Deluxe with an i9-7900X CPU.
