G.SKILL Expands Trident Z RGB DDR4 with 4266MHz 32GB Kits
Ron Perillo / 7 years ago
Memory manufacturer G.SKILL is announcing that their Trident Z RGB DDR4 is now available up to 4266MHz in 32GB (4x8GB) configuration. Naturally, it uses Samsung B-die DDR4 ICs to achieve the blazing fast memory speeds. The original wireless RGB LED memory module proves that they not only offer some of the best looking modules, but some of the fastest as well.
G.SKILL + Intel Z370 Compatibility
The announcement comes fresh off the heels of the Intel Z370 chipset launch. Now enthusiasts can take advantage of greater capacity memory modules from a single kit. The highest capacity DDR4-4266MHz kit available last year was only a 2x8GB configuration. In combination with the ASUS OptiMem technology, which complements the T-Toplogy layout that uses equalized trace lengths, four-DIMM memory configurations have improved stability and increased frequency headroom. With the availability of this new optimization, G.SKILL is doubling the Trident Z RGB kit capacity to operate at DDR4-4266MHz CL19-23-23-43 32GB (4x8GB) at 1.4V. G.SKILL even offers up a screenshot as proof of this as tested on an ASUS ROG MAXIMUS X HERO mothebroard with an Intel Core i5-8600K CPU.
Aside from Intel Z370, and X299 compatibility. G.SKILL has also recently expanded Trident Z RGB DDR4 support to AMD AM4 platforms.
Pricing and Availability
The 32GB DDR4-4266MHz memory module kits will take a while before it reaches stores. However, it is on the calendar for a December 2017 release date. Just in time for the holiday season. The 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4-4266 kit costs $260 currently, so expect the 32GB kit pricing to reflect close to twice that once it launches.
