Less than a week ago, G.Skill introduced their fastest 32GB SO-DIMM DDR4 kit yet for the Ripjaws series. It runs up to 4000MHz CL18 and is available in a 4x 8GB package. This makes it an ideal solution for ASRock’s X299E-ITX/AC Mini-ITX motherboard since it is quad-channel ready.
However, G.Skill has been working over time over the holidays to deliver more. Specifically, another SO-DIMM kit from the Ripjaws series but this time it has higher capacity with tighter timings
Although the frequency is not as high as the 4000MHz at CL18 like the previous announcement, it is nonetheless fast at 3466MHz. G.Skill packs the memory with denser NAND ICs and provides a 64GB total memory capacity across four pieces of 16GB modules. The timing is tighter as well at CL17-17-17-37 with 1.35V.
Naturally, it come with XMP 2.0 compatibility. This means easily loading the 3466MHz CL17 overclock with a simple toggle via UEFI.
Expect these 64GB Ripjaws SO-DIMM modules around Q1 2018. As for pricing, considering the RAM shortage and the current pricing trends, expect a price tag closer to four figures once it is released. The 32GB 4000MHz kit for example retails for around €610+, so double that at least.
