G.SKILL Introduces RIPJAWS KM560 MX Tenkeyless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Ron Perillo / 8 years ago
G.SKILL has added a new keyboard to their RIPJAWS gaming peripheral line called KM560 MX which is their most compact offering yet. The RIPJAWS KM560 MX as you might have guessed from the name, comes with Cherry MX switches, giving users the option of either red (linear), blue (tactile, clicky) or brown (tactile, non-clicky) switches. Despite the differences in switch colors underneath, the RIPJAWS KM560MX only comes with individually lit red LED keys. It uses an 80% (tenkeyless) layout, missing the numpad block on the right.
Although lacking a numpad, G.SKILL provides additional features via secondary functions accessible via FN key combos. This FN key is situated where the right Windows key normally is and allows users to launch some common shortcuts, switch between 6KRO and NKRO mode, adjust the backlighting mode, and adjust multimedia controls. The KM560 MX also has a 32-bit ARM processor on-board so it can do macro record functions that can be recorded on-the-fly.
