G.SKILL just upped the ante once again, setting the bar for the fastest 32GB DDR4 memory kit in the market. The company is announcing that they now have Trident Z modules running at 4400MHz in 32GB kits. These are 32GB in 4x8GB configuration, using Samsung B-die ICs for top performance. The Trident Z heatspreader is the one without the RGB LED, but who needs that when you can have the fastest memory kits on the planet instead?
Desktop DDR4 performance is inching closer to 5GHz everytime G.SKILL announces a new kit. This new module easily loads the 4400MHz preset via XMP with CL19-19-19-39 2T timings at 1.5V. This is not with a single module but with all four DIMM slots populated. G.SKILL provides a working screenshot with MemTestPro to prove it as usual. Their test setup uses a Coffee Lake i7-8700K on an ASUS Maximus X Hero motherboard. G.SKILL recommends ASUS motherboards since it has “OptiMem technology”. This feature complements the T-Toplogy layout that uses equalized trace lengths. Which means four-DIMM memory configuration has improved stability and memory overclocking performance.
Since it is using Samsung B-Die ICs, overclockers can still tweak it further to eke out as much performance as they can.
