G.Skill Release High Speed Trident Z and Ripjaws V DDR4 Memory Kits

Since the announcement of Skylake and Z170, we’ve heard nothing but good things and how we as consumers are going to benefit. One of these benefits is support for super-fast memory and G.Skill has stepped up to the plate and offering both the Trident (Trident Z) and Ripjaws (Ripjaws V) product lines. We know from experience that G.Skill memory is some of the best you can buy on the market; constantly exceeding speed world records and poised at a comparatively low price point.

The new lines are ready to work with the upcoming Z170 series at speeds of up to 4000MHz.

With each heat spreader made from one thick piece of metal, dissipating the heat isn’t an issue. The stylish design will fit in with even the most premium of computer builds, as long as you have silver/red/black in there somewhere; which most current generation motherboards do. These will feature the excellent XMP 2.0 tuning which can take it from the stock DDR4-2800 all the way up to DDR4-4000. The reason behind this extreme performance is hand picked IC chips.

The Ripjaws V memory kits are more consumer friendly, featuring 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB module capacities and performance from 2133MHz to 3733MHz at ultra low voltages. The 16GB modules feature cherry picked Samsung IC memory chips for the best possible performance. Each memory kit also features XMP 2.0 for simple BIOS tuning.

Something that hinders DDR4 is the timing. DDR3 had extremely tight timings, in some cases as low as 7-7-7. When DDR4 is involved, some of the lowest timings available are 15-15-15 at 2133MHz.
