G.SKILL is pushing DDR4 performance forward once again. Last week they introduced Trident Z kits running at 4400MHz CL19. Now they are announcing the launch of Trident Z RGB modules running at 4266MHz with an ultra low latency of CL17. These RGB LED memory modules draw power directly from the DIMM Slot, requiring no extra cables to connect. It is available in 32GB (4x8GB) kits, and a 4000MHz CL17 version is also available.
The Trident Z RGB DDR4-4000 kit has CL17-17-17-37 timings at 1.35V, while the DDR4-4266 kit runs at CL17-18-18-38 32GB at 1.45V. A DDR4-4133 kit is also available running at the same timings as the DDR4-4000 kit. However, it runs at 1.4V. The 4133MHz and 4000MHz modules are also available in 16GB dual-channel kits.
As usual, these Trident Z RGB modules use select Samsung B-Die ICs, which are proven great overclockers. These kits are also ready for Intel 100/200/300-series as well as X299 platforms. With a simple toggling of the XMP 2.0 option, users will be running the rated speeds and timings without effort. Plus, they come with a lifetime warranty.
Pricing and Availability
G.SKILL did not provide specific pricing information yet. RAM prices can be tempermental so things might change before these kits come out on January 2018.
