G.Skill have really come leaps and bounds lately, by bringing out product ranges to cater for every market, including budget, enthusiast, gamers and of course the hardcore overclockers. They’ve done so by use of different capacities and of course different speeds.
With the addition of the new Z77 platform and Ivy Bridge processors, they have really been let loose to see what they can come up with in their labs as Ivy Bridge really opens up the floodgates for faster, more intensive memory, ranging from 2400MHz up to 3000MHz kits across the world.
Some of these particular kits have even been pushed passed the 3000MHz barrier under the influence of LN2 and some extreme overclocking.
This is where the TridentX product range comes in and today sees the 2400MHz 8GB dual-channel kit arriving with us to see what we are able to push it to, bearing in mind that a 2666MHz kit is also available, but is still in very short supply.
We’ve decided to change our layout slightly for memory reviews from our typical dual column magazine style layout, and this particular kit is the first to experience the new layout that you generally see on our motherboard and graphics card reviews.
