Gainward Announces GTX 1080 Phoenix Series

Gainward teased us yesterday with their Pheonix GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card but today we have the full lineup. At launch, the company will have 3 Phoenix branded graphics cards available. These are the standard Phoenix, Phoenix GS and Phoenix GLH.
The main difference between the 3 models is the clock speed. The Phoenix will come in with the same stock clocks as the Founders Edition. The GS gives a slight factory overclock to 1708Mhz base and 1847Mhz boost clocks. The GLH has the highest clocks of all, with Gainward promising higher clocks than the GS but nothing specific just yet. All three variants feature the same dual fan Phoenix cooler with the LED lighting load indicator. For power, Gainward has gone with Dr.MOS for a 8 phase design.
Interestingly, despite the use of a 8 + 6 pin power solution, Gainward has chosen to limit the cards TDP to 180W for the regular and 200W for the GS and GLH. I suspect these are the stock TDP numbers and are merely there to let users know how much power they will draw a stock. Once overclocked, I’m sure Gainward will allow the cards to exceed their TDP as there would be no need for the 8pin power connector otherwise.
