[COLOR=#000000]Gainward recently released the GeForce GTX 570 Phantom edition with its custom cooler design and it was nothing short of a success, and following on from that success will see another addition in the form of the GTX 580 Phantom edition.
This special card will once again, feature a unique cooler with three 80mm fans a large aluminium heatsink with copper base and a set of six heatpipes. Due to the cooler, you will find that the card itself only takes up two expansion slots in your case but the cooler will protrude past that, making this a not so viable option for some users.
Specification wise, we will see a GPU clock speed of 783MHz, 1566MHz shader clock, a whopping 3GB of GDDR5 at 4020MHz on a 384-bit memory interface, and 512 CUDA cores.
Connections are plentiful as expected, and we see two DVI ports, a HDMI port and a DisplayPort.
No news on price or availability yet, but we can’t see it being too much longer before we see this weird and wonderful card hitting the shelves.
