Overclocking was relatively unfruitful as we only managed to add an extra 55MHz to the GPU and 65MHz (260MHz effective) to the memory. In total this is about 5% extra on the factory GPU speed and 4% extra on the factory memory speed. Clearly we haven’t been winners in the silicon lottery with this particular graphics card but considering it already had a significant overclock out of the box, 5% extra is still decent enough by most people’s standards. From Nvidia reference speeds our total overclock was 15% higher on the GPU and 7.7% higher on the memory.
In terms of actual performance gain the performance in 3DMark 11 rose from P8762 to P9087 which is about a 4% gain from a 5% overclock.
