For those of you looking for a “good” deal for a new GPU, GALAX have you covered! The North American account for GALAX has announced that they are doing a clearance sale of their Geforce RTX 3080 SG LHR 10GB cards, by dropping the price down to, brace for it… $699 which is the original MSRP of the 3080.
Currently, RTX 3080s are still going for more than their MSRP so technically this is a good deal, but the fact that GALAX can sell a 2-year-old card at MSRP and call it a clearance sale is insane! I wonder if we will see other brands pull a similar stunt to clear out their old cards, especially with newer RTX 40 Series and Radeon 7000 series cards coming out that are sure to begin to undercut or match current prices for similar or better performance.
