GALAX OC lab has yet another product teaser for their fans. This time it is in the form of a chrome Hall of Fame DDR4 memory kit. The gorgeous pair of memory utilizes the same Hall of Fame DDR4 kit heatspreader design but is flat and entirely chrome plated. Unlike the original which uses alabaster white PCB, the new OC Lab edition model has a more fitting matte black. The regular white DDR4 kit launched last shortly before Computex and featured 4000MHz speeds with CL19 timings.
Although the heatspreader is similar, Galax made a few changes such as an enclosed top area. There are now three fins running across the top with an embossed Galax logo in black in the middle. Unlike the white Limited Edition model which is folded into the other piece, the new chrome limited edition models are screwed on the side.
The GALAX Hall of Fame OC Lab Limited Edition Chrome DDR4 kits are part of their performance series memory. This means it is handpicked and tested to run for overclocking. The white Hall of Fame DDR4 kits for example, are handpicked Samsung B-dies tested for Superpi32m benchmark with waza. Although GALAX did not specify details yet, it is most likely going to be another limited edition run like previous OC Lab edition units. Previous limited edition models come with a HOF Privilege membership card, and a limited edition premium packaging as well. The membership card qualifies members to a one-time 5% discount from GALAX online stores as well.
