GALAX has just revealed the latest addition to their already impressive graphics card ranges. The new cards is a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, but instead of their usual approach to making the card extremely expensive with huge factory overclocks, a custom PCB, and insane cooler, they’ve decided to think a little more broadly this time around.
The new card uses the same reference PCB design from Nvidia, but they’ve bolted on their own aftermarket cooler and custom backplate to give it that stunning white aesthetic; they’ve even thrown in some white LEDs.
The new cooler features a dual-stack aluminium fin design, with five 6mm copper heat pipes to distribute the heat. On top of all that, you will find a pair of powerful 90mm fans, which can also operate in a zero RPM mode when the card is under low load.
The card is factory overclocked, running at 1531 MHz core, 1645 MHz GPU Boost. The memory speed is untouched, but as we’ve seen with the stock cards, I’m sure you could overclock this yourself.
If you’re picking this card up on the EU, it’ll come under the KFA2 brand, but the card is identical with the exception of the branding.
No word on pricing, but it’s certainly designed to be more affordable than their usual cards, so expect it to be competitive.
