GALAX just teased the latest versin of their GTX 1080 Ti Hall of Fame graphics card. This time it is outfitted with a transluscent acrylic water-block and will be called the GALAX OC Lab Edition. It shares many features with the regular GTX 1080 Ti Hall of Fame Edition because it has the same PCB. It retains the signature “choco-white” 14-layer PCB and the 16+3 phase digital power supply. The card is also fed via three 8-pin power connectors and has anti-noise low ESR inductors.
In case you are wondering how well this video card overclocks. GALAX is proud of its performance and has an update via their Facebook page. The overclocking results under LN2 were done by Greek overclocker OGS and it is now #1 on HWBot for GPUPI.
Bitspower provides the full-cover water-block so the GTX 1080 Ti OC Lab Edition is ready to be intergrated into a loop via G1/4″ x 2 threads. The actual contact surface is bade of C110 copper with high quality durable nickel finish for a clean look. It also integrates the GALAX HOF Lumin X RGB lighting so users can customize it to match their build. Since the entire cover has a transluscent acrylic top, colored or UV coolants are visible. Add RGB lighting into the mix, and you certainly have a true show piece.
Since this is still technically a tease, GALAX will be providing more information next week. Stay tuned for updates. What is known however is that this is going to be a limited edition run.
