Galaxy introduces Alloy Series of entry level power supplies

Galaxy has been busy getting some entry level power supplies ready for market. They are keeping things relatively simple by offering just 350W (PG-350) and 400W (PG-400) continuous power supplies, probably representative of the fact they are going to target that mainstream market as opposed to the high wattage which is dominated by well established brands like Thermaltake, Cooler Master and Antec. The 350W model has a peak output of 400W and the 400W model has a peak output of 450W. Galaxy are claiming efficiency of over 80% on both models but naturally as these are entry level power supplies they don’t bear any 80 PLUS certifications to save costs. Both models feature dual-forward switching topology, with active PFC. The power supply has enough connectors for a single CPU and single GPU system by providing two 6+2 pin cables and a 4+4 pin CPU cable. The power supplies have 130mm Fans with oil-free nano bearings (reduced noise and extended longevity) for cooling.
