Galaxy S7 Phones are Safe According to Samsung Investigation

Samsung is slowly starting to drop off our radar, which likely means most of the exploding handsets have been recalled and that they’re getting the situation slowly under control. However, the recent issues with their phones catching fire, as well as their washing machines being recalled, has seriously hurt their image and many consumers will have lost faith in the brand for fear their new device will be faulty, even if it wasn’t one of the recalled products.

Samsung have been testing their handsets and are now advising consumers that the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are safe to use, despite word of some of those devices catching fire, no more so than any other handset on the market and believe us, it happens to them all; Samsung, Sony, Apple, it doesn’t matter, it’s just extremely rare. Any fires with the other Samsung devices are general faults, and Samsung is yet to find any internal faults with the range.

“Samsung stands behind the quality and safety of the Galaxy S7 family,” the statement reads. “There have been no confirmed cases of internal battery failures with these devices among the more than 10 million devices being used by consumers in the United States; however, we have confirmed a number of instances caused by severe external damage.”

“Until Samsung is able to obtain and examine any device, it is impossible to determine the true cause of any incident.

Given how serious the Note 7 issue was, it’s good to see Samsung being active with investigations and while some could point out that it would have helped to be this focused on the issue before they took the last handset to market, we hope that they use this problem to make their handsets better in the future.
