A Closer Look
The cable features a high quality braiding, a fixed Velcro strip to help keep things neat and tidy and a custom moulded USB plug with a gold plated connector.
There are two extra sets of side panels included; two wide and two slim and a third set is pre-installed on the mouse.
The HADES features a pair of switches on the left side.
Here you can see the mouse has a heavily curved top section, ideal for both palm rest and claw grip play styles.
Around the back you’ll find an LED back-lit GAMDIAS logo.
Since this is an ambidextrous mouse, you’ll find the right side is identical to the left.
The top centre of the mouse features a DPI toggle switch and a rubber grip coated scroll wheel. The Inner section of the wheel is made of clear plastic and features an LED back-light.
Here you can see that the HADES is quite a wide mouse at the base, though of course we can change this configuration thanks to the extra sets of side panels.
The under side features four Teflon slip-mats, as well as the laser sensor.
Here you can see I’ve removed the pre-installed side panel. There’s three slots for the magnetic mounts and two recessed cut-outs to allow you to get your fingers behind the panels and remove them.
Here is the larger set of side panels installed.
Here is the low profile set.
The panels allow you to significantly change the size of the mouse; such as the ultra wide version I’ve created (see below). You can mix and match the panels as you wish, such as the slim on the left and a wide panel on the right which would make the mouse feel more like a dedicated right hand mouse and vice versa.
