GAMDIAS Hades Extension Laser Gaming Mouse Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The price is easily the best feature of the HADES. It’s priced around $60 USD/£50 GBP from most major retailers and this makes it incredibly competitive. For this level of features and performance, you’re going to struggle to find anything that matches it for around the same price.

Overview

GAMDIAS impressed me with their feature packed Hermes keyboard, then again with their Hephaestus headset and now they’ve made it a hat-trick with their stunning HADES mouse. The HADES is easily one of the best gaming mice I’ve ever used; which is impressive given that you can purchase one and still have change from £50. It is packed full of features that make it fiercely competitive; the only mouse I’ve personally used that comes close to this level of customisation was the Roccat Kone XTD. Of course there are similar mice on the market, such as the MadCatz R.A.T. series, which also offers size customisation and extensive software options, but it’s also around 50% more expensive for a similar specification model.

Despite the mouse being made from plastic, the build quality on the HADES feels robust. The plastic panels are thick and the overall finish of them is of a good standard. The removable side panels are durable and the inclusion of powerful magnetic mounts makes them easy to install, but more than strong enough to prevent them from falling off accidentally. Extra features such as a high-quality braided cable and gold plated USB connector are also a nice bonus.

I’ve no doubt that the HADES is going to appeal to the eSports/pro gaming crowd, as it’s packed with features that are perfect for any kind of competitive gaming. However, it’s just as comfortable using it to browse Facebook as it is when playing StarCraft II; perfect for those who plan on doing more than just gaming. The Ambidextrous, customisable size and feel of the mouse is certainly unique and I have no doubt that you’ll quickly find a setup that’s best suited to your needs and preferences.

Pros

  • Extensive range of features
  • Intuitive software
  • Customisable ambidextrous design
  • Competitive price
  • Good build quality

Cons

  • None

“The GAMDIAS HADES is an incredibly competitive mouse; it has more features than most other gaming mice, it has premium grade performance and it features a price tag that’s cheaper than similar specification rivals. If you’re looking to get a premium gaming mouse, without the premium price tag, then the HADES should be right at the top of your shopping list.”
