A Closer Look – Exterior

First impressions of the Draco are positive, and the chassis has a good weight to it and a nice and clean overall design. There’s a beautiful large and clear tempered glass window on the left-hand side, mounted with four aluminium thumb screws. This is going to be great for those who want to show off their new system build as it gives you an unimpeded view of the chassis interior.

On the front of the chassis, another piece of glass helps compliment the left side panel window. It looks quite reflective with the lights off. However, we are confident it’ll soon come to life when we power up the chassis and see those three RGB fans hiding behind it. Don’t worry about airflow either, as there is ample ventilation down both the left and the right-hand side of the front panel.

Solid Panels

Unfortunately, the right side panel is a little bland when compared to the others, as it’s just a solid metal panel. However, there is a significantly raised section which should allow for a decent amount of cable rating behind the motherboard.

Around the back, we get our first indications of why the Draco is as affordable as it is. Some of the metal work here does look a little bit cheap, and I guess that is understandable at this price range. At the top, you’ll find a pre-installed 120mm fan, below that seven expansion slots, and finally a PSU Mount at the base. One of my main concerns is that there are snap off covers on six of the PCIe slots, I’ve never like these, but I suppose they will get the job done.

A Cheap Filter > No Filter

On the base of the chassis, you’ll find four large plastic feet with some soft rubber grips on the bottom. These give good ground clearance for the chassis, which will allow airflow to the PSU air intake at the rear. The dust filter on the intake is a little bit basic, as it’s just a clip in mesh, but it’s still functional.
