There is a huge range of chassis on the market, and it’s tougher than ever to decide while one may be right for you. Of course, with an unlimited budget, many of us would likely spend well into the triple digits on a tempered glass, RGB riddled work of art. However, most of us live in the real world, and our wallets are not always as fat as we would like. At little under £50, the Obsidian is the latest wallet-friendly effort from Game Max, but does its low price mean low quality? Let’s find out.

Equipped with a nice size side panel window to show off your hardware, as well as a PSU shroud, it’s sure to look neat and tidy. There’s room for up to eight fans, water cooling support, room for GPUs of up to 360mm long, and CPU coolers of up to 170mm tall. Overall, that’s pretty standard stuff, but there’s nothing wrong with that when it comes to building your next gaming PC.

With up to eight fans being able to be installed: 3 x 120 / 2 x 140mm at the front, 2 x 120 / 140mm at the top and 1 x 120 / 140mm fan at the rear (1 x 120mm fan at the rear is included.), also the ability to install water cooling into the Game Max Obsidian (1 x 240 / 280mm at the top and 1 x 240mm at the front), allows for keeping up with today’s demand for power and speed whilst keeping your system cool.
