Game Streaming To Arrive On Steam Client, Beta Selection Process Starts

Game streaming is going to be one of the most important features of the upcoming SteamOS but in good spirit Valve are going to bring game streaming to the Steam client as well. This is great news as it means Valve won’t be using any “SteamOS exclusives” to try and force its users towards SteamOS in order to access unique and new features of the Steam platform.
Steam have opened up registration for the Steam In-Home streaming service which allows you to stream your Steam library from your primary computer to any other computer in the house. If you want to participate in the beta you have to join Steam’s In-Home streaming group, which can be found here, and then hope that they pick you as it will be based on a random selection from group members.
“Steam In-Home Streaming is a feature that will allow people to stream games from one computer to another anywhere in their house. This feature will be available for beta testing later this year. Beta participants will be randomly selected from members of this group, so join, have fun, and stay tuned for more details!” reads the announcement on the group page.
