First things first, we installed our SSD in the back. I didn’t actually need the 3.5″ drive bays in the front, so we took those out as well, as you’ll see in a moment.
This is a freaking massive chassis, obviously! Removing the 3.5″ drive bays wasn’t needed to make room for any of our hardware. However, there’s no doubt that even the largest of GPUs will fit in here with room to spare. What is cool, is that by removing those HDD bays, we can now see those front fans! There are three stunning RGB fans in the front, one in the back, and two LED strips on the exterior.
Cooling support on this chassis is amazing. The Noctua NH-D15S is massive anyway, but it fits with ease. If you wish, you can install radiators in the rear or the top, with room to spare.
By removing the front HDD bays, you free up room for thick radiators in the front. You can extend this further by removing the lower HDD cage and the upper 5.25″ drive cage though. This will limit your storage options, but if you really need a 420mm radiator, it’s nice to have that option.
For RGB lovers, the built-in RGB controller is perfect. Just hit the front panel button and it’ll cycle through a wide range of colours and flow effects.
Again, coming back to the size of this chassis. The GTX 1080 Ti is a big card, but with the right motherboard, there’s no reason why you can’t have four GPUs in this system. Of course, that depends on your needs, and the type of system you’re aiming to build.
The PSU shroud does a fine job of hiding all the cables too. Of course, with so many rubber grommets, cable routing was a breeze anyway.
With the tempered glass windows back in place, the Precision looks beautiful. The brushed aluminium combined with the glass looks good enough to rival anything from big names like Phanteks, Lian Li, Corsair and many others.
The lighting of the fans and the lighting strips sync nicely thanks to the built-in hub too. Meaning everything looks uniformly lit throughout.
Even the flow and colour change effects work very well. In fact, they’re far better than one would expect in this price range, given it was all included in the price of the chassis.
As I said before, there’s a strip in the front panel, as well as the top panel. This may be too much for some people, but you can always turn off a strip, or configure the lighting to your tastes if required.
Overall, this is one of the finest looking and best-made chassis Gamemax has ever created. And for this price range, it’s so far beyond our expectations.
