Performance
As this is a, relatively speaking, inexpensive product. Massive performance figures shouldn’t be expected. Despite this, the GamerStorm Castle 240 RGB gives a more than respectable performance across our full range of testing. Compared to other GamerStorm/DeepCool products we’ve reviewed to date, the Castle 240 RGB is certainly one of the stand-out performers.
Stock Temperatures
At stock levels, this cooler finds itself plum in the middle of the pack. In comparative terms of 240mm coolers, there are some that do slightly better and others that do slightly worse.
Overclocked Temperatures
When overclocked the GamerStorm Castle 240RGB again finds itself in a similar position. That being said though, the idle and gaming temperatures are actually a lot more impressive when compared to stock. This would perhaps suggest that this cooler is a little happier when working harder.
Stock Acoustics
This cooler isn’t designed to be quiet. As such, in terms of noise levels, it errs towards the lower end of the chart. Despite this though, a higher scrutiny of the figures shows that in terms, it’s only 1-2dBA from moving 5-6 places up the chart. These are slim margins with AIO coolers and that’s particularly reflected in this level of cooler.
Overclocked Acoustics
As per the overclocked temperatures, in terms of noise levels, the GamerStorm Castle 240 RGB performs a little better when put to the task. While the noise levels do increase, the added levels are highly negligible. It even finds itself rubbing shoulders with be quiet! products which are specifically designed with noise reduction in mind.
