GamerStorm Castle 240 RGB AIO CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts
Price
The GamerStorm Castle 240RGB cooler retails for a price in the region of £90-£100. In terms of 240mm coolers, this finds itself in the upper-mid pricing bracket. In truth, we did anticipate this product being a little less expensive. It is, after all, a DeepCool cooler. That isn’t, however, perhaps a well-adjusted view based on the amazing RGB effects this cooler has or indeed the faultless design quality.
Design and Ease Of Use
In terms of the design, it’s hard to find anything to fault with this cooler. Our only criticism, and it is a minor one, is that the RGB hub and controller does feel a little cheap. That being said though, we still couldn’t find anything wrong with them. We were highly impressed with the design of the cooler as a whole, whether it was switched on or off. In addition, it is remarkably light to hold. It’s no exaggeration to say that this feels about half the weight of a usual 240mm AIO cooler.
As for ease of use, in terms of installation, I suspect that any difficulties you have will only be in deciphering the manual. For anyone experienced with coolers, this shouldn’t be a problem. For those new though, it might take a little time to make sure you get all the parts correctly fitted to your system and then above that, ensuring you have the cables all fitted correctly.
Once installed though, whether using the manual controller or the sync capability, this cooler is fantastically easy to use.
Overview
This product represents something a little different for GamerStorm in that it is, on the whole, a high-end cooler. When you consider the excellent design, the RGB lighting effects and the performance figures, this ticks a lot of boxes in terms of what people want. It is a factor that threw us off a little as the brand is more commonly associated with nice, but less expensive products.
At its current price, the GamerStorm Castle 240 RGB will find itself in a very crowded market. A market which, incidentally, can probably offer comparative products at a lesser price. If this retailed for around £20 less, it would be a no-brainer that this was a fantastic bargain. As it stands though, it presents value for money and definitely a quality cooler.
