PC Games You Should Try That You Probably Haven’t

Games you should try

I have nightmares over what games I would probably really love but haven’t played yet. I have similar terrors about films, music and each January, the tax man.

We, therefore, present a list of games that you may not have tried, but you really should!

Dark Souls 2 – Scholar of the First Sin

As a massive fan of the series (I’ve played them all) I feel in a position to say categorically and with some expertise, that Dark Souls 2 is the best.

In Scholar of the First Sin you can play the 2nd game with all of the DLC and, generally speaking, some changes/improvements to the original release.

For just £7.49 I can’t recommend this game to enough people.

Kerbal Space Program

I bought into Kerbal Space Program years ago. Allowing me the opportunity to (poorly) design my own space rockets and attempt to get to the moon. In 3 years the best I’ve managed is getting to the moon. Alas, it was a 1-way trip and my Kerbal is still there now.

Available for just £14.99 in the Steam sale and long out of early access now, this is definitely worth a look for the more creative amongst us.

Dead By Daylight

By far and away, this was my game of 2017. Which is funny really considering it released in 2016, for PC at least.

Pitting 4 survivors against a singular, but excellent array of varied killers makes this one of the best gaming experiences I have had in a long time. It is no exception to say I play at least 2-3 rounds of this each day. If nothing else it teaches you a lot about human nature.

With it being 50% off in the Steam Sale, this is well worth a look as an excellent casual game that might suddenly be not so casual for you.

Airport Madness 3D

For all of those who fancy themselves as an air traffic controller, there are free-to-play online games, but this version is by far one of the best.

Now, I’m going to be honest with you here, you’re not going to be blown away by the graphics, but as a casual game, believe me, this gets quite intense. Don’t let the simplicity of the design fool you, mastering this game isn’t easy.

With 40% off in the Steam sale, I would heartily recommend this.

Thimbleweed Park

A brand new point and click adventure, but in the traditional style. For anyone who played games in the 80’s or 90’s, you would struggle to not enjoy this. While the interface might be a little ‘old fashioned’ for younger gamers who may not necessarily get all the jokes, this is without a doubt one of the best point and click games ever made.

With 30% off in the Steam sale, this is definitely worth a look.

Tropico 5

Imagine Sim City, but set on a Cuba-style island. Keeping the people, your army and tourists happy will not be easy, but there will be a lot of laughs along the way before you are overthrown.

One this list, certainly one of the more dated titles, but with the complete version available with all the DLC for a little over £13, there is a lot of fun for you here Presidente!

Plenty to mull over!

What do you think? Any of these you have or haven’t played? Any hidden gem recommendations of your own? – Let us know in the comments!
