With phone hardware advancing as much as it has, gaming on mobile has become a lot more popular in recent years, especially in Asian countries. Now a touch screen isn’t the best tool for this, so many manufacturers opt for creating some form of controller be it standalone or directly hooked to your device such as the new X2s Type-C mobile gaming controller from GameSir which transforms your mobile device into an all in one handheld.
GameSir are a smaller company known for their budget games controllers, now I can’t comment on their quality but they do have a wide range of products. Today they have revealed their new X2s Type-C mobile controller, a controller which clamps to your Android device or iPhone 15 providing an all in one controller experience akin to other handhelds such as the PSP or Steam Deck. Your phone connects through USB-C and can fit phones ranging from 110mm to 168mm in length which includes most Androids including foldables, and the newer iPhone 15 with USB-C.
The controller comes in a white and purple colour scheme inspired by the Nintendo DS and offers highly durable buttons using Hall Effect technology in both its triggers and sticks. The sticks provide 360° seamless pinpoint control, offering the precision and durability demanded by mobile gamers, they also feature Anti-Friction glide rings for silky smooth stick control. The analogue triggers also feature hall-effect technology delivering unparalleled smoothness and responsiveness and feature hair-trigger mode for FPS gamers. The backside of the controller features rubber grips to ensure that gamers can have a comfortable experience
All of the controllers functions can also be adjusted using the GameSir App. This allows for the deadzones of the sticks and triggers to be adjusted, and the ABXY layouts can also be altered. The app offers gamers lots of control to ensure the controller fits their needs.
