Finally we have Battlefield 2042, which in terms of graphics, I find better optimised than Call of Duty. CoD always seems to run my PC pretty hard no matter what I’m doing, which is a shame, but Battlefield is easier going, despite still looking just as good. As you can see, I’ve maxed out absolutely everything.
Scaling and DLSS are disabled, and Reflex Low Latency is enabled, with VSync off. However, much to my surprise, this “only” netted me around 160FPS but with lower GPU utilisation than expected, so I had to address that to max the games refresh rate.
Dropping to the High profile for overall fidelity settings, the game easily hit 200-220 FPS, which is great, but I had to then enable DLSS Quality or Ballanced to push consistently past the 240 FPS barrier. That being said, the game looks visually stunning despite the drop in quality and the gain in FPS more than makes up for it.
