Gamings Finest Moments – Horror

Dead Space
When Dead Space launched back in 2008 I barely gave it a second glance, it wasn’t until 2 years after its release that I picked it up in a sale, such a shame I didn’t get it sooner, since it is one of the finest survival horror games ever made, sure its sequel is also amazing, but it’s the original that gets my credit.
Taking the roll of Isaac Clarke, your lead through events that leave you and you two team mates stranded on a seemingly abandoned space ship, but these sort of things are never truly abandoned are they? With an atmosphere that feels similar to the movie Event Horizon, aliens called Necromorphs that can only be killed by dismemberment, achieved with mostly futuristic welding equipment and saws, not to mention some of the best sound effects ever, Dead Space really knows how to get the hair on the back of your neck twitching.
