GIGABYTE Launches Beat the Heat OverClocking Event

Leading motherboard manufacturer GIGABYTE is kicking off their latest overclocking event called Beat the Heat 2017. The company teams up with the HWBot overclocking community, delivering an enthusiast hardware prize pool of over $2,500 USD. This competition will have four stages that will test the computer’s 2D processing: XTU 5GHz, GPUPI for CPU–1B 5GHz, Geekbencch3 Single–Core 5GHz, HWBOT x265 Benchmark–4k 5GHz.

There is a 5GHz limitation imposed to give most users a chance against more experienced overclockers. In each of the four stages participants can score points based on their benchmark scores.
