At Gamescom 2016, Microsoft has revealed the official PC requirements for Gears of War 4, and to top it all off, it also unveiled a sublime gameplay trailer that shows off the title in full 4K resolution for the first time. Last month, Coalition technical director Mike Rayner stated that the game would support 4K textures on the PC, as well as unlocked framerates and ultra-wide monitors. When compared to the console versions, the PC version will also boast more available graphical settings, which is always nice. Going back to the PC requirements, Microsoft has unveiled different specs for AMD and Nvidia-based systems, and it looks like the minimum requirements on the AMD side ask for an FX 6300 complemented by an R7 260x. The Nvidia minimum requirements include an i5 3470 and a GeForce GTX 750 Ti, and it’s worth noting that both versions ask for 8GB of RAM.
As for the recommended specs, we’re looking at an FX 8350 and a Radeon R9 290x/RX 480 for the red team, while the green team will need an Intel i5 4690 and a GeForce GTX 970/GTX 1060. Things get really interesting on the “Ideal” section, as gamers will need top-tier hardware in order to meet these demands, namely an AMD FX 9590 with an R9 FuryX or an Intel i7 4790 and a GTX 980Ti/GTX 1080. The ideal spec also suggests 16GB of RAM as well as an SSD. You can find the complete requirements below, as well as the aforementioned gameplay trailer.
