NVIDIA Rolls Out 391.05 Driver HotFix
NVIDIA has released HotFix drivers version 391.05 for their GeForce video cards to fix several issues, including problems with NVIDIA FreeStyle. FreeStyle allows users to apply post-processing filters on your games while playing. It is a part of GeForce Experience introduced earlier this year.
Right from the GFE in-game overlay, players can change the look and mood of the game with tweaks to color or saturation. They can even apply dramatic post-process filters. However, this feature appears to be problematic for some users. For some, it would just stop working outright.
This HotFix releases also addresses the display corruption issues that Titan V users are experiencing. Plus, it officially adds support for Microsoft Surface Book notebooks with NVIDIA GPUs.
What is the Difference Between a HotFix and a WHQL Driver?
Unlike GeForce WHQL drivers, HotFixes are essentially “beta” versions, optional and provided as-is. They are run through a much abbreviated QA process, in comparison to the more comprehensive WHQL testing.
Where Can I Download the 391.05 HotFix Driver?
