NVIDIA has announced the price of its recently unveiled GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card for the North America, UK, and European markets. The GTX 1060 – which boasts the same gaming performance as its 2014 flagship GTX 980 while being two-times more energy-efficient – will be priced at £239 in the UK, $250 in the US, and €180 in France and Germany, with Eurogamer confirming that the Founders Edition of the GTX 1060 set to cost £275/$299/€319. While the price of the graphics card is competitive, it is sure to be a boost to AMD, whose RX 480 costs around $50 less.
The six-pin GTX 1060 and its GP106 Pascal architecture GPU boasts a 1.7GHz boost clock, 1280 CUDA cores, 6GB DDDR5 memory, plus a TDP of only 120W, and features one dual-link DVI port, three DisplayPorts, and HDMI 2.0. The most notable absence is the lack of SLI connectors, with NVIDIA eschewing multi-GPU support.
