GeIL EVO-X Series DDR4 RGB LED Memory Revealed

GeIL has just revealed more information on their new EVO-X series of DDR4 memory modules. The new memory was first shown at CES 2017 back in January, and we’ve been eagerly awaiting its release ever since. The new modules feature a diffused RGB LED lighting element, which is fed through a standard 4-pin RGB LED header, like those found on ASUS Aura, Asrock RGB, MSI Mystic Light, and Gigabyte Fusion motherboards, to name but a few. They also use a second fan pin header to draw additional power from the 9/12V source. The lighting kit is designed so that it’s on a separate PCB to the DRAM, which should help remove any chances for electrical interference.
The kits will be available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, at DDR4-2133, DDR4-2400, DDR4-3000, DDR4-3466, DDR4-4000, and DDR4-4133, as both single module and dual channel kits. Each of those kits is set to be available in glossy white and matte black, so certainly a lot to choose from!
While we’re eagerly awaiting for this to be released, which we’re certain will be anytime soon, there’s still no pricing information, so keep an eye out for another update as soon as possible.
