GeIL Orion RGB 16GB 4400MHz DDR4 Memory Review

GeIL has long been one of my favourite memory brands, and we’ve had many fantastic reviews of their products spanning back over 10 years now. They’ve always had something for the enthusiast and always something visually interesting too. Remember the GeIL Enhance Corsa DDR3, for example? Check our review of it here. With that in mind, I think it’s safe to say I’m eager to see what the latest GeIL memory has to offer. The new Orion RGB comes in a range of speeds and capacities, and we have the 16 GB (2 x 8GB) kit in the office today. However, we do have one of the fastest kits in the range, clocking in at 4400 MHz, so it should be pretty swift when it comes to our benchmarks!

GeIL Orion RGB 16GB 4400MHz DDR4

While not as bonkers looking as some of their previous designs, GeIL gives the market what they want and puts some slick RGB lighting in this model. However, they’ve kept the design compact to ensure compatibility with cases and coolers. That’s a rare thing, too, as many RGB kits sit much taller than standard memory kits. GeIL has a good history of reliability and high-end performance, and they claim this new kit is held to that same standard, with all kits undergoing their rigorous in-house testing regime. So, let’s get to it!
