GELID Solutions, a thermal solution specialist, has announced the release of a new product in their Gamer Series CPU cooler: the GX-7.
This new cooler has been designed to maximize the cooling capabilities and lower the amount of hotspots. With a total of seven heat pipes arranged so that they dissipate heat more efficiently, V-shaped aluminum fins were used in the center to allow the air flow to reach the heat sink more evenly and openings inside the heat sink and near the heat pipes allow fresh air to flow in from the top and bottom zones which are normally poorly ventilated.
The GX-7 also includes the multi-award winning Wing 12 PL fan equipped with the patented Nanoflux bearing for a more efficient friction-free and quieter operation while still allowing a large amount of airflow, making the GX-7 capable of reaching remarkable temperatures.
The GX-7 when using dual 120mm fans can provide cooling equivalent to liquid cooling solutions, said Gebhard, Sales Director of GELID Solutions Ltd.
The fan includes a premium PWM control so that the temperature can be controlled precisely by the BIOS and is also equipped with blue LEDs. A second fan can be added for push-pull configuration as well.
The multi-award winning high performance GC-2 thermal compound is already included in the package along with mounting clips for AMD AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1 and for Intel 775, 1155, 1156, and 1366 sockets and back plates for Intel LGA 775, Core i3, i5 and i7 boards. The cooler is RoHS and WEEE conform as well.
Available now at a MSRP of $65/45, the GX-7 comes with 3-year warranty included.
