Gelid Icy Vision Rev. 2 VGA Cooler Review

VRM TemperaturesWe also record the VRM temperatures of the card. This allows us check the VGA cooler’s ability to cool some of the important and hot running components of our graphics card. It also allows us to determine whether the supplied VRM heatsinks are of acceptable quality and performance.

Finally! An after-market cooler that can actually tame our 4870’s super hot VRMs. With a VRM temperature peak of 103C converting into a delta temperature of 80.3C we can finally say that our 4870’s VRMs have been conquered and cooled! Keeping the VRMs under 110C is amazing performance by the Gelid, beating it’s Arctic Cooling and Thermalright rivals by over 24 and 32 degrees, respectively.
