Stock acoustics are more or less flawless, this is because heat output is so low that the fan barely changes speed from its lowest setting.

Overclocking pushes acoustic noise up because the Gelid GX-7 has only one fan to blow air through a very dense heatsink with 7 heat pipes. However, considering those things the performance is still excellent and it offers performance to rival the Respire T20 and T40 coolers both which are direct competitors.
