With E3 just around the corner, and various rumours circulating across social media platforms, it’s an exciting time for the gaming industry. Rather amusingly, some studios have even officially unveiled pieces of information before the event. For example, the Watch Dogs 2 trailer received an overwhelmingly positive reception and looks likely to be a vast improvement on the first entry. Of course, the rumour mill is in full force and we could see hardware reveals from both Microsoft and Sony. When combining this with various game reveals, this could make E3 2016 one of the best on record. This opinion is shared by Geoff Keighley who has been covering the event since its creation and will be acting as the YouTube Live host. Today, Keighley posted a number of Tweets suggesting that viewers should tune in and expect the unexpected:
Putting aside E3 2015, the previous few years have been fairly disappointing and E3 appears to be having less significance in today’s industry. Saying that, it’s still a major showpiece for gaming and the event where most of the huge announcements will be made. Given the reports of new hardware, perhaps a Rockstar game (I’m being careful here), and a huge array of Microsoft titles, I cannot wait to see this years E3. Even though many of the conferences are live early in the morning for UK gamers, I’ll be watching and reporting on the developments as they happen.
Are you looking forward to E3 2016?
