German brand EOLIZE introduces a NAS mini-ITX case

A brand most of you have probably never heard of, EOLIZE, based in Germany have introduced a new case which is aimed primarily at the “NAS” market. The “SVD-NC11-4″ PC case is a mini-ITX form factor build that supports four 3.5” drives and a mini-ITX motherboard so is ideal for a media server, NAS enclosure or HTPC. Since the price of mechanical storage is falling rapidly (i.e. a 2TB Hard drive is no only around £60) home/media servers or business servers are becoming increasingly popular as a way of storing information and backing up information and so EOLIZE is looking to satisfy the ever growing market for this.

The case has a pre-installed 200W power supply unit to power the installed system which should be plenty of power for a server. The power supply features two molex cables to power the four hard drive bays, which are all hot swappable and easy access; the back of them is pictured below if you are finding it difficult to visualise:

In terms of space constraints you have enough room for 1 PCI or PCI-E expansion such as a sound card, raid controller or network interface card. The front panel features two USB 2.0 and the usual buttons and LEDs. Note the RAID capabilities of this server are totally dependent on the mini-ITX motherboard or RAID card installed, the case has no effect on this. The case is listed on the EOLIZE website and retails at €139 including taxes.
