Storage and USB Performance
CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Read
The product’s NVMe M.2 boot drive offers absurdly high read speeds and makes traditional SATA-based storage look archaic in comparison. As you can see, the system managed a read speed of 1840MB/s when deploying the Samsung NVMe SSD. The USB 3.0 read performance was solid and appeared very consistent during multiple runs.
CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Write
In terms of write performance, the boot SSD does quite well and almost exceeds the 600MB/s barrier. While it’s not in the same league as some other high-end storage, the write rate is a good margin ahead of the previously tested systems using SATA storage. On another note, the USB 3.0 write was average and within the range I anticipated.
