Gigabyte Aivia Krypton Dual-Chassis Gaming Mouse Review

It’s been a while since we had a new Gigabyte Aivia peripheral to play with, not since the Aivia K8100 Keyboard at the start of this year and just over a year since our last Aivia mouse, the M8600. Both of them may have earned our eTeknix awards, but a lot can change in a year, with new technologies, innovations and ever changing demands of the modern gamer / pc user.

There are plenty of superb gaming mice on the market today and it’s not easy to choose which will be the best for your money. This is especially true when your looking at products like the Krypton which has a price tag of around £60, making this a premium product but not so much that it couldn’t be considered good value dependant on its performance. There is plenty to choose from when it comes to gaming mice, especially around this mid to high price bracket, so hopefully today I can find out what the Krypton can do to tempt me into a purchase.

When it comes to peripherals a lot of people tend to edge towards their favourite brand and Gigabyte are no exception to this rule and already have a loyal following for their products, be that a graphics card, motherboard or a peripheral such as the one were looking at today. On paper this mouse certainly sounds like its going to be every Gigabyte and Aivia fans perfect gaming companion, but can it make a Gigabyte Aivia fan out of me? let’s take a quick look at the specification, then well move on and find out just how the Krypton performs.

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
