With just under a week to go till the GTX 1060 launch, more AIB partners have started to reveal their custom models. Unlike the GTX 1070 and 1080 launch, custom cards won’t be delayed, with partners launching their cards at the same time as the Founders Edition. Today, we’re getting our first look at what Palit and Gigabyte have to for us for hopefully close to $249.
First up we have Gigabyte’s GTX 1060 G1 Gaming. Unlike the GTX 1070 and 1080 G1 Gaming, the GTX 1060 features a simpler and shorter dual fan WINDFORCE cooler. This is expected given the lower 120W TDP but should still be adequate in any case. The 8pin PCIe power connector should remove any power constraints on overclocking expect for the power limit itself. There will be a factory overclock but no word yet on specifics.
Next up, we have Plait with 2 JetStream and 1 DUAL graphics cards. Both JetStreams feature factory overclocks along with the JetStream cooler, RGB LED lighting and odB idle mode. The Super JetStream features a factory OC of 1847 MHz boost while the clock speeds for the other two are unknown. The DUAL uses two fans as well but features different fans and likely a different cooler arrangement. What do you think of these custom cards?
