The Gaming 9 was quite power-hungry, but it has a lot more features and two CPU power connections. The Gaming 3 is a lot more reserved and sipped away on just 319w of power.
Overclocking did increase the power consumption, but it’s still one of the more efficient boards we’ve tested.
