Gaming Performance
This is a gaming motherboard, so it would make sense that it delivers some good results. It certainly does too, and while it didn’t break any records, the Gaming 7 is comfortably on par with other X399 motherboards we’ve tested. We do know that this chipset isn’t aimed at 1080p performance, but we’ll be exploring what Threadripper can do at 4K and maybe even beyond in some upcoming features. Either way, the performance is competitive, and with this motherboard still having huge headroom for the CPU to stream and render while gaming, it’s going to appeal to the content creation and streaming gamer markets in a big way.
