We grabbed our power consumption figures by putting some load on the system using PCMark 7. For all systems we left them to idle for a bit and then took a typical idle measurement before putting them under PCMark 7 load and grabbing the maximum power consumption after a few loops of the test.
Being the most powerful CPU it had the highest power consumption under load but not by much. Furthermore it still had great power consumption at idle and just 36W means that the Gigabyte BRIX is still an energy sipper given the potent performance it offers.
