3DMark Vantage
Futuremark released 3DMark Vantage on April 28, 2008. It is a benchmark based upon DirectX 10, and therefore will only run under Windows Vista (Service Pack 1 is stated as a requirement) and Windows 7.
3DMark Vantage is the industry standard performance benchmark for DirectX 10 gaming PCs. It includes two graphics tests, two CPU tests and six feature tests. Trusted by gamers worldwide to give accurate and unbiased results, 3DMark Vantage is the best way to consistently and reliably test DirectX 10 under game-like loads.
While the reference Celeron NUC platform couldn’t even get going on 3DMark Vantage, the Gigabyte BRIX with its Intel HD 4000 Graphics Core i5 Ivy Bridge CPU posted a very respectable P3261. This makes the graphics roughly equivalent to a HD 4670 or GT 220, yes they are nothing special but you can play some decent games at low-medium settings on a 720p resolution. Even so the Gigabyte BRIX isn’t really designed to be a gaming machine but a potent mini PC so these graphics are just an added luxury.
